The Coronavirus pandemic has proven to be one of the strangest times we have experienced. But people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds have been coming together and doing great things for their local communities and society.
In a great way to highlight this, The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester is honouring those who are doing extraordinary things during the pandemic with the High Sheriff Special Recognition Awards.
“Every day I hear stories of individuals and groups doing extraordinary things for no other reason than they want to help. Often that thoughtfulness and kindness is directed at complete strangers.Dr Eamonn O’Neal DL, High Sheriff
“That’s one of the effects of the current situation; we seem to be more considerate, more neighbourly and more inclusive.”
Successful nominees will receive a certificate and when the restrictions are lifted, will be invited as special guests to join the High Sheriff at an event to celebrate their award.
