WATCH: The Apprentice Winner Alana Spencer’s Advice to Young Entrepreneurs

After becoming Lord Sugar’s Business Partner and crowned winner of The Apprentice, Alana Spencer is fast becoming Queen of the Cake Empire.

Alana, from a village in Wales, founded an incredible cake business ‘Ridiculously Rich by Alana’ and caught up with us at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival.

The 24-Year-Old started her business back when she was in school at age 16. Alana’s on a hugely impressive journey and I wanted to find out more.

Speaking about her best piece of advice for young entrepreneurs, Alana said:

“The most important thing for me is that if you’re entrepreneurial, you’ll just get out there and get on with it. You don’t really need advice but I think a lot of people throughout my journey have tried to give me advice – some of it has been great – some of it not so great and I think the best thing you can do is to go out there and do it.”

Teamwork and having a strong network of people around you was another piece of advice from Alana:

“Surrounding yourself with positive people that believe in what you’re doing and definitely listen to feedback from people because ultimately the way to grow is to work out what’s going to be best for you and your company. Listen to people but don’t listen to them too much! Do it yourself!”
